Agents as Consultants on contract options and solutions… posted by your broker

Just a reminder:

We want to keep teaching our agents that when they consult with their clients on paperwork the client is signing to:

  1. Be clear that you know what the options are for the clients-Let them know those options, and let the client decide what they want to do. (If you as the agent doesn’t know the options-make sure they speak to one of our staff or a mentor before meeting with the client)
  2. Never take a strong legal stance on what WILL happen, and what has to happen.  Advise them on what the options are,  and possible ramifications or outcomes on each choice.  If they are not sure, advise them to seek legal counsel before signing if they wish.

Sometimes our agents get protective, and want to really push the clients to do something, because our agent really feels strongly about it, and we have to have them pull that back in, and learn to be a great “consultant” instead.

Feel free to contact your Team Leader, Mentor or Phil Deutscher on any questions you have at any time.
