Building Permits

Building Permits

  1. Seller is responsible to provide to Buyer copies of any Building Permits that they have.
    1. Seller may not have copies of Building Permits.
  2. Buyer may go to the City Building Department to obtain copies of permits that may have been issued.
    1. Buyer may discover that a permit was never “issued” or may not have been “finaled” by the Building Department. This is important information for the Buyer to consider during the Buyer Investigation Period.
  3. Agents are never to go to the City Offices on behalf of the Buyer for building permits, rent-control information, or other information. It is the Buyer’s responsibility only.
  4. This is also true for “investigating” leases, liens, or warranties that may apply to the sale.
