How to Find a Referral Agent
When you have a client that you’d like to refer to an agent in another area to buy, sell, or rent follow this procedure.
- Go to kw.com
- Click on Find an Office
- Type in the City and State of the choice
- Click on the name of the Team Leader
- Call the Team Leader of that office and ask for an agent or two that they would recommend.
- Contact that agent, ask them questions to see if you feel they are a match for your client.
- Fill out the Referral Fee Agreement form from Zip Forms. Have your Team Leader sign it, then send it to the agent you are referring to.
- Be sure to get a signed copy of the referral agreement back and turn it into the Assistant MCA in your Market Center.
- Follow up regularly.
- You can make an additional referral if you feel the agent isn’t following up, by contact the Team Leader again.
Referrals can also be made to those you meet at events, in Realtor Facebook pages, or recommendations from others in your office.
